This project is for the comprehensive remodelling of a Victorian building in a Conservation Area to provide modern, well-planned office accommodation to the upper floors with a retail showroom to the ground floor linked to the currently vacant basement space.

The main objectives for the design solution were to rationalise the rear elevation and roofline to provide a coherent building form, develop a modern and efficient internal layout within the constraints of the existing and to create an attractive amenity space in the rear courtyard.

This courtyard space will feature a new glazed roof to create a double height space below that will provide daylight and ventilation to the basement. This area is currently under utilised and this intervention will create a dramatic space that enhances the quality of the existing building.
